The Malibu Grotto Hike is a “must do” hike in this area.
This is a very beautiful environment, especially after some rains.

The trail is located north of Malibu. It has waterfalls, a creek and stunning mountain and canyon views.
This out-and-back moderate hike is about 2 miles each way for a total of 4 miles. It takes about 2-2.5 hours to do the entire hike and take in all the sights.
If you’re into rock climbing, check out the practice area at Malibu State Park. It’s a beautiful place with a flowing creek, a small lake and and rock pool to jump in from on high, if you’ve got the guts to try it.
