Malibu Grotto Hike, Waterfalls and Stunning Canyon Views

The Malibu Grotto Hike is a “must do” hike in this area.

This is a very beautiful environment, especially after some rains.

The trail is located north of Malibu. It has waterfalls, a creek and stunning mountain and canyon views.

This out-and-back moderate hike is about 2 miles each way for a total of 4 miles. It takes about 2-2.5 hours to do the entire hike and take in all the sights.

Beautiful waterfall on hike in stunning nature park

Who knew there was a fabulous waterfall in a stunningly beautiful nature park in Thousand Oaks?

It’s definitely worth a trip there to hike the Paradise Falls Loop in Wildwood Park.

Santa Barbara’s Cold Spring Trail is a “must do” hike

Cold Spring Trail is an incredibly beautiful loop trail in the Santa Barbara/Montecito foothills. This is a “must do” hike in this area.

It’s an easy to moderate hike of about 2 miles, and takes about 2 hours.

Features: running creek, small waterfall, ocean views, shaded trails.

Experience the falls, creek and ocean views at Solstice Canyon in Malibu

Solstice Canyon Loop is in the Santa Monica Mountains in the Malibu area off of Corral Canyon Road. This is an overall easy to moderate hike of about 3 miles and takes about 2 hours.

Hendrys Beach, take your dog on off-leash daykation

This Santa Barbara beach is one of the few beaches that actually allows unleashed dogs. I don’t even have a dog, but I love them and it is really fun to watch how much the dogs enjoy this experience. They just have a ball running all over the place and romping with other dogs, charging in and out of the water. It’s like the dogs have gone to heaven and can’t believe how free they are. And their owners really enjoy throwing them balls and sticks. It’s just a wonderful scene to watch and experience. … photos and more
